CHA Learning's Continuous Quality Improvement program is designed for managers and staff in health services who wish to expand their knowledge of CQI theory and techniques, and to integrate those with their program, departmental, or organizational operations.
The program focuses on concepts and tools that are applicable for hospitals, home care and home support organizations, community-based services and residential care within the continuum of health services.
To apply, students must be working in a healthcare organization.
Internet and E-mail Access
Students must have internet and e-mail access (either at home or at work) for communication with CHA Learning and their education consultants.
The program includes 7 home study units, a research paper, a five-day Intramural Session in Ottawa and a final examination. Attendance at the Intramural Session is mandatory.

- CQI as an approach to operational planning and management
- Teamwork
- CQI tools and approaches

Certificate
Graduates receive a certificate in Continuous Quality Improvement for Health Services issued by the Canadian Healthcare Association.
Course Recognition

Accreditation Canada recognizes that health care providers would benefit from training in quality issues. The Continuous Quality Improvement for Health Services Program provides appropriate training.
CSMLS
The Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science grants Continuing Education credits for Continuous Quality Improvement.

The Quality Healthcare Network Award
$500
Awarded annually to the Continuous Quality Improvement for Health Services student who achieves the highest grade on the program’s “Best Practices” paper.
