This new one year course is designed to provide Long Term Administrators an opportunity to meet the educational requirements of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. This 100+ hour program consists of eight study units with assignments and a final examination.
The Study Units Include the following topics:
- Evolution and Funding of Long Term Care
- Long Term Care Today
- Ethics and Long Term Care
- The Continuing Care Continuum
- Planning in Long Term Care
- Quality in Long Term Care
- Leadership and Culture
- Into the Future: Issues and Trends to Watch
Internet and E-mail Access
Students must have internet and e-mail access (either at home or at work) for communication with CHA Learning.
Students must have basic computer knowledge and internet navigation skills in order to complete this course. Please note that while CHA Learning does provide technical support, we do not provide technical support for internet and/or basic computer use.
Certificate
Graduates receive a certificate in Long Term Care Administration from the Canadian Healthcare Association.
