CHA Learning presents the “Lean Healthcare Green Belt Certification” program designed by the Leading Edge Group in association with Daniels College of Business (University of Denver).  This on-line program provides participants with a comprehensive overview of Lean Thinking and its effectual application in healthcare. The Green Belt course of study outlines and demonstrates essential Lean Tools and practices applicable in healthcare environments to reduce costs, increase efficiency and quality of service, improve patient and employee satisfaction and create an ongoing culture of continuous improvement.

The program is designed for a wide range of Healthcare professionals. All of whom will greatly benefit by discovering the means to implement core Lean concepts, tools and practices to optimize critical business processes and create ongoing and sustainable improvements. Application of the knowledge and skills gained will improve healthcare organizations for hospital executives, department directors, healthcare staff (consultants, RNs, therapists, etc.) and service staff (finance, administration, nutritional services, quality, supply chain and so on).

The program can be undertaken by individuals at any time through on-line distance learning study. Participants receive access to a Learning Management System portal from where they can log in at their convenience and launch each lesson, take prep exams, view and download on-line resources and interact with fellow participants and experts via the Lean discussion forum.
 

Internet and E-mail Access

Students must have internet and e-mail access (either at home or at work).

Course Components

The program includes on-line lessons, web presentations, a participant Workbook, Peer and Mentor Lean Discussion, Supplementary Resources and expert mentoring, a project and a final exam.
